KIKI C. NOCELLA, PhD, MHA

President and CEO

 

Prior to incorporating Believe Health, LLC, Dr. Nocella was the Vice Provost of Health Affairs for the University of California, Riverside.  During that time, she was responsible for developing the vision, strategy, and business plan for what will be more than a 100 million dollar operation at full build out.  Dr. Nocella worked with a variety of faculty, consultants, and community groups to develop a business plan and vision that ultimately was approved by the Regents of UC in July 2008.  Additionally, Dr. Nocella has written and managed multi-million dollar grants, as Principal Investigator for each of the AHRQ HIT grants that built the East Kern County Integrated Technology Association.  Dr. Nocella has turned around rural hospitals that were near bankruptcy, and has built and run a sixty physician primary care academic practice group.  Dr. Nocella holds more than 17 years of quality improvement and HIT experience. 

 

JAMI J. YOUNG, MPA

Vice President

 

Ms. Young brings tangible experience in designing, building, and implementing Health IT infrastructure for communities and provider practices.  She worked side by side with Dr. Nocella to acquire AHRQ HIT grants that built an operational regional health information organization.  Her recent post as an Assistant Hospital Administrator for a Critical Access Hospital provides applicable and current knowledge faced by safety net providers.  Adopting a collaborative approach, Ms. Young aims to partner with communities and providers to enhance their organizational mission.   

 

KIM J. HOROWITZ, MD

Chief Medical Information Officer

 

Dr. Horowitz has practiced medicine for over 25 years as a Board Certified Family Practitioner.  Dr. Horowitz is the physician champion for Health IT in his region, undergoing EHR implementation at his own practice.  Dr. Horowitz possesses first-hand knowledge regarding HIT implementation and is an advocate for provider adoption.  Dr. Horowitz provides the critical piece of “provider-to-provider” communication for realistic outcomes.
